News: $100K to Fund Western Queens’ Industrial Business Zones

Today at 3 pm, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer, Council Member Antonio Reynoso and President of the LIC Partnership Elizabeth Lusskin will come together at the Falchi Building to announce funding for the industrial and manufacturing firms in Western Queens’ industrial business zones. An investment of over $100,000 will go toward various services and financial assistance to keep manufacturing firms in LIC. This comes after another $100,000 grant awarded to the LIC Partnership to be used for a comprehensive study of the neighborhood.
This announcement comes in the midst of another push to rezone the neighborhood, which the LIC Partnership hoped would strike a better balance between the residential and industrial sectors.
